Abstract

L'articolo indaga la relazione tra mascolinità e potere nel Sudafrica democratico con uno studio che si inserisce nella tradizione della semiotica sociale. Nell'analisi si mettono a confronto le modalità discorsive con le quali l'ex Presidente della Repubblica del Sudafrica Jacob Zuma costruisce e mette in atto la sua mascolinità durante il suo mandato con le critiche mosse al suo comportamento dalle vignette nei più diffusi quotidiani del Paese e in alcune opere d'arte.
