From January 1st 2024 it will be possible to submit essays and scientific studies to the editorial board of the journal CaSteR for the 9 (2024) issue.
The cultural framework of the journal covers: history, archaeology, antiquity, history of art and conservation, valorization and restoration of cultural heritage.
The chronological framework starts from the prehistoric age to the Fatimid period (12th century). The geographical context is North Africa (particularly Tunisia and the Maghreb), understood  both as a geographical area and as a cultural entity to be compared with studies focused on common aspects of cultural and commercial relationships in other areas.
A particular relevance will be given to the studies focused on musealization, restoration of monuments and material and immaterial cultural valorization issues.
Essays should be submitted to the editorial board through the journal website,  following the procedure described in the following link:

Applications  will be checked by the editorial staff for  compliance with the journal’s subject area.
If the application matches the quality standards required, it will be sent for  peer review. This process will be led by at least by two reviewers, following the “double blind” procedure.
The editorial staff will complete this first phase in two weeks. The author will then be told if his/her work is going to be submitted to the peer review procedure or if it has been rejected.
The reviewers for each work will be chosen by the editorial committee.

At least one of the reviewers will not be a member of the scientific committee.
The peer review phase will last no longer than 5 weeks, at the end of which the editorial staff will tell the author whether his/her work will be published or not. The peer review process will be managed using the OJS software.

Cartagine. Studi e Ricerche is an annual journal.

This invitation is valid for the whole of 2024.

The contents of the journal are organized in several sections which may not appear in every issue, depending on  the subjects of the submitted studies. Articles will be added and published in each issue following the order of their submission.
The studies will be published on the website when ready, starting from January 1st, 2024.
The annual closing of the journal is supposed to be on  December 31st each year.
The articles submitted after October 30th, 2024 will be automatically considered for the following year’s issue, published with the same procedure starting from January 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025.
