Reconceptualizing Incarceration
The (Non)places of Delinquency and Mental Illness
Abstract
Vivere in carcere è un'altra esperienza, così lontana dal vivere la società comune. Tempo e spazio si contraggono quando sei "dentro le mura". Nelle interpretazioni più moderne dell'antropologia e della geografia carceraria internazionale, questo contributo sta dimostrando che le recinzioni sono eteree; spesso costruito in un sobborgo piuttosto che nella propria mente. Sulla base di osservazioni, analisi e ricerche condotte durante l'etnografia condotta sul Carcere di Pozzo di Gotto (ME) di Barcellona, questo contributo offre una riflessione sul concetto di detenuto e carcere in grado di contrarsi ed espandersi all'interno di diversi quadri interpretativi.
