They prefer Witches
Abstract
Italians prefer witches and magicians when they need to heal their souls, remove the devils that paralyze their lives - in case they have renounced the assistance of the confessor. It is better a spell than a long and expensive psychological treatment. This helps to understand why Freud and psychoanalysis have had so little luck in Italy.
