The erosion of academic tenure in the U.S. and its ties to public neoliberal anti-intellectualism

Abstract

This essay examines the erosion of tenure in the U.S. academy and its connections to the spread of neoliberal capitalist ideology in U.S. colleges and universities. It also explores how this affects anthropology departments since only a small part of anthropology is ever considered part of the STEM fields.
