Afterword: A view from African cities

In the last few decades, Pentecostalism has dramatically grown and spread worldwide. Currently it is the fastest-growing Christian movement. It is spreading mainly in urban areas, even though one can find it also in the rural ones. One of the leading factors, among others, which are pivotal for its development and spread is the flexibility of the idiom, which allow it to be consistent with the local contexts. Many scholars in the recent years have highlighted the nexus between neo-liberal perspective and Pentecostal doctrine, preaching and practices. Starting from the articles published in this section, the paper wants to resonate on the topics outlined above, focusing mainly on urban areas.
