Seasoned with tears and saudades: Flavours, memories and traditions among Portuguese immigrants in São Paulo, Brazil
Abstract
This research focuses tastes, habits, eating practices and traditions of the Portuguese emigrated to São Paulo, Brasil. These food experiences were investigated by oral history (totaling 25 interviews) and several other documents, revealing memories of flavors, seasoned with tears and saudades.Anuac is published under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence 4.0. With the licence CC-BY, authors retain the copyright, allowing anyone to download, reuse, re-print, modify, distribute and/or copy their contribution. The work must be properly attributed to its author. It should be also mentioned that the work has been first published by the journal Anuac.
