Evolution/Revolution: For an anthropology of Torah
Abstract
The biblical narration has also a sociobiological and anthropological background. For this reason the Torah can be seen as the description of the historical-evolutionary path of the Jewish people and society, as well as of the construction of Jewish identity. In the difficult living conditions of the Jews along the history, the Torah was able to direct the social and cultural mechanisms imposed by the need to adapt to foreigner religious and political contexts. So it seems to emerge a true "genetic program" in the Torah and in the Talmud, the complexcode of ethics derived from it.Anuac is published under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence 4.0.
